It’s important that the dairy community engages the public about how dairy foods are produced.

A Facebook page for your farm is a great place to start. Follow these easy steps:

Step 1: From your existing personal Facebook account, click on the settings tab at the top right and choose “Create Page” from the dropdown.

Step 2: Select “Local Business or Place” and choose “Agriculture”. Add the farm name, address and phone number and click “Get Started.”

Step 3: Complete the “About” section, add a profile picture and add to favorites so you can easily access the page and select “Preferred Page” audience. Click “Save” at the end of each section.

Step 4: Your farm page is now created! Add a cover photo, invite friends to like the page and begin sharing your experiences on the farm.

Keep posts simple. There are more than 1 billion people on Facebook and the majority don’t know much about farming. Yet, there is tremendous interest in food, animal welfare and conservation. This is your chance to shine!
