DBA Recognizes Legislative Excellence

November 29, 2012 at 5:25 PM

Green Bay, Wisconsin --- Every two years, the Dairy Business Association (DBA) recognizes members of the State Senate and Assembly for their work and support of legislation to create a pro-dairy atmosphere.  During DBA’s 13th Annual Business Conference, held November 27 and 28, 2012, 99 lawmakers were honored with the Legislative Excellence Award.

This past session proved to be a successful one for Wisconsin dairy producers and processors.  Lawmakers supported efforts to renew the dairy investment tax credits, cleared the path for the research and development of new waste management technologies and increase weight or height limitations for hauling hay, straw, livestock, manure and other agricultural products.
