According to a recent study from the University of Wisconsin, dairy farming produces $18.5 billion each year for the state of Wisconsin and reported by the Department of Commerce, milk has more of an economic impact in Wisconsin than any other product.
Because of these facts, the Dairy Business Association has formed a public relations subcommittee in an effort to raise public awareness regarding the current problems facing Wisconsin's agriculture industry. It is extremely important that the public understands the importance of the dairy industry in Wisconsin, that in turn will help dairy producers continue to improve their operations.
