This September, DBA is excited to once again offer regional member meetings focused on workplace safety.

Making sure your farm is up to code when it comes to safety rules can seem like a daunting task, but there are resources and experts who can help make this easier for you.

We are looking forward to replicating a workshop we put on two years ago in the Brillion area where we toured a member farm and worked through a mock Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) inspection.

The tour will provide members with a unique perspective of hazardous areas they should pay special attention to. The day will also feature a presentation from safety experts who will provide an overview of all the areas on a farm that should garner attention. A complimentary lunch will be included.

DBA has been focused on identifying the needs of our members and providing farmers with opportunities that can benefit their dairies. The mock OSHA inspection is one example.

Thank you to these great members for opening their farms for the workshops:

  • Sept. 25
    Rosy-Lane Holsteins
    W3855 Ebenezer Drive,
    Watertown, WI
  • Oct. 10
    Four Mile Creek Dairy
    1531 22nd Avenue
    Rice Lake, WI

Register by contacting Nicole Barlass at nbarlass@widba.com or 920-883-0020 x104.
