DBA is proud to welcome Aaron Stauffacher as the associate director of government affairs. Aaron interned with the DBA since January 2015. His involvement and knowledge is an asset. Get to know Aaron:
Education: UW-Stevens Point Bachelor of Science in economics and political science, Juris Doctor at UW-Madison.
Agriculture background: I grew up on a 500-cow dairy farm with my family in Darlington, Wis. Besides helping on the farm, I was involved in 4-H and our county’s dairy promotion activities, including the dairy breakfast. Throughout college I worked on the farm over winter and summer breaks.
Favorite job on the farm: Spending early mornings out in the barn with the cows either milking, caring for fresh cows or completing morning herd health.
DBA experience thus far: While attending law school, I interned with DBA for two years focusing on government affairs. I had the pleasure of working closely with Director of Government Affairs John Holevoet handling member regulatory and legal issues, meeting with policymakers and advocating for the dairy community.
Most excited about new position: I am most excited to continue advocating for our innovative members with elected officials and regulatory agencies.
